Seeking reliable in home attendant for energetic, fun, small stature, non-verbal 24 yo male. Prefer 1 year commitment.
Flexible hours Mon - Fri, 8:00 am - 4:00 pm, up to 40 hours available.
Duties include:
Guidance with Life Skills tasks including: daily hygiene, meal prep/eating, dishes to sink, putting up laundry, put games away after play, etc.;
Reinforce desired and redirect undesired behaviors using appropriate verbal and/or physical prompts;
Engage and encourage growth of current abilities: expressive language, problem solving, handwriting, painting, coloring, spelling/reading, general play;
Georgetown, TX, I-35/Hwy29 area;
$20.00/ hour, paid every week to start; salary review every 3 months.
Requirements:
Speak, read and write adult English fluently;
Reliable transportation;
Pass drug and background tests;
Reliable with professional boundaries;
Conservative approach to behavior implementation;
Ability to go with the flow, take direction for changing environment/circumstances, accept and act on feedback;
Ability to work independently;
Physically fit - support in home activities;
ASL is a plus;
