Position Summary
As a Home Health Aide, you will provide essential personal care, companionship, and assistance with daily living activities to clients in their homes. You will play a vital role in ensuring the comfort, safety, and overall well-being of each individual you serve.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist clients with personal care needs such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and toileting.
- Provide companionship and emotional support to promote mental and social well-being.
- Prepare and serve meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Assist with mobility, transfers, and light exercises as recommended.
- Perform light housekeeping tasks such as laundry, sweeping, and maintaining a clean environment.
- Accompany clients to medical appointments, errands, or community activities as needed.
- Monitor and report changes in client’s condition to supervisors promptly.
- Follow care plans and maintain accurate documentation of services provided.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Certified Home Health Aide (HHA) or STNA/CNA preferred, but not always required (training opportunities may be available).
- Previous caregiving or healthcare experience strongly preferred.
- Must be compassionate, patient, and dedicated to improving the lives of others.
- Ability to lift, move, or transfer clients as needed.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Reliable transportation and valid driver’s license.
- Must pass background check and drug screening.
