Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) to join our healthcare team. The ideal candidate will provide high-quality nursing care to patients in various settings, including inpatient, acute care, and home community care environments. The LVN will work closely with registered nurses and other healthcare professionals to ensure optimal patient outcomes while adhering to HIPAA regulations.
Duties
- Administer medications and treatments as prescribed by physicians.
- Monitor patient vital signs and report any changes to the healthcare team.
- Provide direct patient care, including assistance with daily living activities and personal hygiene.
- Assist in emergency situations, utilizing skills in emergency medicine and airway management.
- Perform gastric lavage and other necessary medical procedures as required.
- Maintain accurate patient records and documentation in compliance with HIPAA standards.
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans for patients.
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding health conditions and treatment plans.
- Engage in toddler care when applicable, ensuring a safe and nurturing environment for young patients.
Qualifications
- Current Licensed Vocational Nurse (LVN) license in the state of practice.
- Experience in inpatient settings, particularly in acute care or PICU (Pediatric Intensive Care Unit), is preferred.
- Familiarity with Durable Medical Equipment (DME) is a plus.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Knowledge of emergency medicine protocols and procedures.
- Commitment to providing compassionate care while maintaining patient confidentiality.
- Ability to adapt to changing environments and handle stressful situations calmly.

Pay: $45.00 - $55.00 per hour
Expected hours: 15 – 40 per week
