Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in need of assistance. The ideal candidate will have a strong commitment to enhancing the quality of life for clients through personalized care and support in their home or community settings. This role requires a blend of physical capability, emotional intelligence, and adherence to health regulations.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities, including personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility.
- Perform heavy lifting as needed to support clients with physical limitations.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to care plans and dietary restrictions.
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure compliance with medication schedules.
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with healthcare professionals.
- Provide direct support for clients in home community care settings, ensuring their safety and comfort.
- Maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA regulations while handling client information.
- Offer companionship and emotional support to enhance the well-being of clients.
- Respond promptly to client needs and emergencies, applying first aid when necessary.
Requirements
- Previous experience in caregiving or a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
- Knowledge of first aid practices is a plus.
- Ability to perform heavy lifting tasks as required by client needs.
- Familiarity with HIPAA regulations and commitment to maintaining client confidentiality.
- Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively with clients, families, and healthcare teams.
- Experience in meal preparation and understanding of dietary needs is advantageous.
- Must be able to follow care plans accurately while providing compassionate support.
- A valid driver’s license may be required for transportation purposes.
