Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for creating a welcoming atmosphere for our guests, managing reservations, and ensuring efficient seating arrangements. This role requires excellent communication skills and a strong commitment to customer service, making it essential for enhancing the overall dining experience.
Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and escort them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and maintain an organized seating chart.
- Communicate effectively with the kitchen and wait staff to ensure timely service.
- Answer phone calls with professionalism, providing information about the restaurant and taking reservations as needed.
- Assist in managing guest flow during busy periods to minimize wait times.
- Address guest inquiries and concerns promptly, ensuring high levels of guest satisfaction.
- Uphold cleanliness and organization in the front-of-house area.
- Collaborate with team members to provide exceptional guest services and enhance guest relations.
Requirements
- Previous experience in a customer service role, preferably in food service or restaurant settings.
- Familiarity with POS systems is a plus.
- Strong communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment.
- A positive attitude and willingness to help others, contributing to a team-oriented atmosphere.
- Experience in hotel or hospitality settings is advantageous but not mandatory.
