Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and enthusiastic Host/Host to join our dynamic team. As the first point of contact for our guests, you will play a crucial role in creating a welcoming atmosphere and ensuring a positive dining experience. Your primary responsibilities will include greeting guests, managing reservations, and maintaining the flow of the dining area. This position requires excellent communication skills and a passion for hospitality.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements efficiently to optimize the dining experience.
- Provide assistance to guests with inquiries about the menu, specials, and restaurant services.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host stand and dining area.
- Communicate effectively with servers and kitchen staff to ensure smooth service flow.
- Handle guest complaints or concerns professionally and promptly, ensuring guest satisfaction.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for managing reservations and tracking guest preferences when necessary.
- Assist in other areas of the restaurant as needed to support overall operations.
Experience
- Previous experience in hospitality or restaurant settings is preferred but not required.
- Familiarity with guest services, guest relations, and food service operations is beneficial.
- Strong communication skills with an ability to engage positively with guests and team members.
- Experience with POS systems, particularly Aloha, is a plus but not mandatory.
- A passion for customer service and a commitment to providing an exceptional dining experience are essential.
