Job Overview
We are seeking an enthusiastic and friendly Host/Host to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and a positive dining experience. You will manage reservations, greet guests, and assist in maintaining a smooth flow of service within the restaurant or hotel environment.
Duties
- Greet guests promptly and warmly as they arrive, ensuring a positive first impression.
- Manage seating arrangements and reservations to optimize guest flow and minimize wait times.
- Communicate effectively with guests regarding wait times and special requests.
- Assist in maintaining cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Provide excellent customer service by addressing guest inquiries and concerns promptly.
- Collaborate with the serving staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Utilize the POS system for managing reservations and guest information efficiently.
- Uphold high standards of guest relations to enhance overall dining experience.
Requirements
- Previous experience in food service, restaurant, or hotel environments is preferred but not required.
- Strong communication skills with an emphasis on phone etiquette and guest services.
- Ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A friendly demeanor with a passion for providing exceptional customer service.
- Basic knowledge of POS systems is advantageous but can be learned on the job.
- Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends as needed.
