Job Summary
We are looking for a friendly, organized, and team-oriented Host/Busser/Food Runner to help create exceptional guest experiences at Surf Hound. This multifaceted role supports both the front and back of house, welcoming guests, maintaining clean dining areas, and ensuring prompt and accurate food delivery. Duties
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and manage the seating chart.
- Communicate wait times clearly and accurately, and keep guests informed.
- Escort guests to their tables and provide basic menu guidance or water service if needed.
- Assist servers and bartenders by running food and beverages promptly and accurately.
- Ensure proper plate presentation and complete guest satisfaction during delivery.
- Clear and reset tables efficiently, maintaining a clean and organized dining area.
- Support overall cleanliness, including floors, host stand, and restroom checks.
- Help maintain smooth flow between front and back of house teams.
- Provide backup assistance to team members during peak hours or special events.
Requirements
- Prior hospitality or restaurant experience preferred but not required.
- Positive attitude and a guest-first mindset.
- Ability to multitask and stay composed during busy shifts.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- Able to stand, walk, and carry food for extended periods.
- Willingness to support the team in various roles as needed.
