Job Summary
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Cashier to join our team. In this role, you will be the first point of contact for our guests, ensuring a warm welcome and providing exceptional customer service. You will manage the front of the house operations, including greeting guests, taking orders, and processing payments. Your ability to communicate effectively and maintain a positive atmosphere will be key to enhancing our guests' dining experience.
Responsibilities
- Greet guests warmly upon arrival and guide them to their tables.
- Manage reservations and waitlists efficiently to optimize seating arrangements.
- Take customer orders accurately and relay them to the kitchen staff.
- Process payments using Aloha POS or similar systems, ensuring accuracy in transactions.
- Address guest inquiries and resolve any issues promptly to maintain high guest satisfaction.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the front-of-house area.
- Assist with other restaurant duties as needed, including helping servers during busy periods.
Skills
- Strong guest services skills with a focus on hospitality and guest relations.
- Excellent customer service abilities, ensuring a positive dining experience for all guests.
- Effective communication skills, both verbal and written, with an emphasis on phone etiquette.
- Familiarity with restaurant operations and POS systems like Aloha is preferred but not required.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
- A team player who can collaborate effectively with kitchen staff and fellow team members.
