Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Assistant to support our educational team in fostering a positive learning environment for children. The ideal candidate will have experience in early childhood and elementary education and possess strong communication skills to effectively engage with students, parents, and staff. We are also seeking someone with experience in Montessori education or is eager to learn about the method. This role involves working closely with children, including those with special needs, to promote their academic and social development.
Duties
- Assist in the planning and implementation of lesson plans that align with curriculum goals.
- Support classroom management by maintaining a structured and positive environment.
- Provide individualized support to students, particularly those with disabilities or autism.
- Facilitate literacy and math education through engaging activities tailored to various learning styles.
- Collaborate with teachers in curriculum development and adapt materials for diverse learners.
- Monitor student progress and behavior, implementing behavior management strategies as needed.
- Participate in professional development opportunities to enhance skills in early childhood, elementary, and Montessori education.
Experience
- Proven experience working with children in educational or childcare settings, such as daycare or private schools.
- Background in elementary education, early childhood education, childhood development, or related fields is highly desirable.
- Experience in lesson planning, curriculum development, and classroom experience is a plus.
- Strong communication skills to effectively interact with students, parents, and colleagues.
- Knowledge of Montessori methods or preschool experience is beneficial.
