Job Overview
We are seeking a friendly and organized Host/Host to join our dynamic team in providing exceptional guest experiences. The ideal candidate will be the first point of contact for our guests, responsible for greeting them warmly, managing reservations, and ensuring a smooth flow of service. This role requires strong communication skills and a passion for hospitality in a fast-paced restaurant environment.
Duties
- Greet guests promptly and with a warm smile as they enter the restaurant.
- Manage reservations and seating arrangements to optimize table turnover while maintaining guest comfort.
- Maintain an organized waitlist and communicate wait times effectively to guests.
- Assist with customer inquiries and provide information about menu items, specials, and restaurant policies.
- Collaborate with servers and kitchen staff to ensure seamless service delivery.
- Utilize Aloha POS system for managing reservations and seating efficiently.
- Uphold high standards of guest relations by addressing any concerns or requests promptly.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the host/host area throughout service hours.
Experience
- Previous experience in a restaurant or food service environment is preferred but not mandatory.
- Familiarity with POS systems, particularly Aloha, is a plus.
- Strong customer service skills with an emphasis on guest relations and communication.
- Ability to handle phone etiquette professionally when taking reservations or answering inquiries.
- A passion for hospitality and helping others create memorable dining experiences is essential.
