House Orderly Supervisor Details
Essential Job Duties:
- Leads and Coordinates Orderly Staff: Oversees all hospital orderly activities across all shifts (days, evenings, nights, weekends, holidays), including hands-on coverage, scheduling, and staff performance assessments.
- Hospital Operations Supervision: Acts as the on-site supervisor during non-business hours, managing hospital-wide operations, responding to emergencies (e.g., Code Blue, Signal 5), and coordinating with clinical departments and on-call staff.
- Patient Care and Support: Assists with patient transport, ambulation, and meeting physical/emotional needs; ensures appropriate equipment and supplies are available; supports staff in delivering quality patient care.
- Communication and Compliance: Communicates hospital policies and changes to staff, patients, and visitors; ensures accurate documentation, proper morgue procedures, confidentiality, and adherence to policies.
- Professionalism and Development: Models professional conduct, fosters team morale, participates in training and in-services, ensures continued
Qualifications:
- A bachelor's degree is desired; high school equivalency or certificate is acceptable.
- Previous health care experience. Evidence of the ability to manage the physical and emotional demands of the role in a professional healthcare environment.
