Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Housekeeper to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various settings, including residential, commercial, or hospitality environments. This role requires a strong work ethic, attention to detail, and the ability to work independently or as part of a team.
Duties
- Perform thorough cleaning of assigned areas, including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, and sanitizing surfaces.
- Execute industrial cleaning tasks as needed to maintain high standards of cleanliness in larger facilities.
- Manage custodial duties effectively by ensuring all supplies are stocked and equipment is maintained.
- Provide exceptional hospitality services by ensuring guest areas are clean and welcoming.
- Conduct floor care activities such as stripping, waxing, and buffing floors to ensure they are well-maintained.
- Assist in housekeeping management tasks by reporting any maintenance issues or safety hazards promptly.
- Collaborate with hotel staff to ensure rooms and common areas meet established cleanliness standards.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in housekeeping or custodial roles is preferred but not required.
- Knowledge of industrial cleaning techniques and equipment is a plus.
- Familiarity with hospitality industry standards is beneficial.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to follow instructions accurately.
- Excellent time management skills with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
- Physical stamina to perform cleaning tasks that may require lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods.
