Position Summary:
Mount Sequoyah is a nonprofit retreat and conference center dedicated to hospitality, community, and inclusion. The Housekeeping Associate plays a vital role in ensuring our campus remains clean, comfortable, and welcoming for all guests and visitors. This position supports a variety of housekeeping and custodial functions including room preparation, laundry service, and trash removal.
Key Responsibilities:
- Clean guest rooms, meeting spaces, restrooms, and common areas according to established standards.
- Perform laundry duties including washing, drying, folding, and distributing linens and towels.
- Remove trash and recyclables from buildings and designated collection points.
- Assist in setup and reset of lodging and meeting spaces as needed.
- Notify Housekeeping Director of maintenance needs or safety hazards.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of storage and supply areas.
- Follow all safety and sanitation procedures, including use of PPE when necessary.
- Collaborate with other departments and team members to ensure a positive guest experience.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support the overall operations of the hospitality team.
Qualifications:
- Prior housekeeping or custodial experience preferred, but not required.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to cleanliness.
- Physical ability to stand, walk, lift (up to 30 lbs), bend, and perform repetitive motions.
- Willingness to work flexible hours including weekends and holidays, as needed.
- Positive attitude and willingness to contribute to Mount Sequoyah’s welcoming atmosphere.

Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $15.00 per hour
Expected hours: 5 – 29 per week
