Position Summary
As a Room Attendant, you will play a key role in ensuring our guests experience a clean, comfortable, and well-maintained room every time. Your responsibilities include daily servicing of guest rooms, replenishing amenities, and maintaining cleanliness standards in line with hotel policies. This role requires strong attention to detail, excellent time management, and a guest-focused attitude.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide outstanding service to guests at all times with a friendly and professional attitude.
- Clean and prepare guest rooms daily, returning them to "Vacant Ready" or "Occupied Clean" status.
- Thoroughly clean bathrooms, replace linens and towels, restock amenities, and change bedding as required.
- Clean all room surfaces including floors, windows, fixtures, furniture, ceilings, vents, and more.
- Restock and maintain housekeeping cart daily to ensure efficiency.
- Perform deep cleaning and rotation tasks, such as mattress pad changes, steam-cleaning carpets, and polishing fixtures.
- Report any maintenance issues or material discrepancies to the Housekeeping Manager.
- Assist in cleaning and maintaining public and staff areas including stairwells, employee lounge, and locker rooms.
- Respond promptly to guest requests, including providing turndown service and delivering items such as rollaways or irons.
- Ensure proper uniform is worn at all times per the company’s dress code.
- Follow all housekeeping policies and procedures, including those outlined in the Employee Handbook and Safety Manual.
- Perform other duties as assigned and within your capabilities.
Safety & Security Responsibilities
- Never open a guest room door for anyone; refer guests to the front desk for key replacement after verifying ID.
- Keep all guest rooms secure when unattended and ensure the Key Control Policy is strictly followed.
- Maintain awareness of emergency procedures and hazardous conditions; report or resolve issues promptly.
- Protect guest privacy at all times—never share room numbers or personal information.
Qualifications
- High School Diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Prior housekeeping experience is a plus but not required—we provide training!
- Basic computer literacy (Microsoft Windows knowledge helpful).
- Professional appearance and demeanor.
- Strong physical stamina; able to stand for long periods and lift/push/pull up to 30 lbs.
- Attention to detail with the ability to follow instructions and work independently or as part of a team.
- Strong communication and time management skills.
