Housekeeping Supervisor

The HYATT PLACE MILFORD/NEW HAVEN is presently accepting applications for Housekeeping Supervisor/Head Housekeeper. The position is available for hire Immediately.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Assigns workers their duties and inspects work for conformance to prescribed standards of cleanliness.
• Obtains list of rooms to be cleaned immediately and list of prospective check-outs or discharges to prepare work assignments.
• Coordinates work activities among departments.
• Conducts orientation training and in-service training to explain policies, work procedures, and to demonstrate use and maintenance of equipment.
• Inventories stock to ensure adequate supplies.
• Evaluates records to forecast department personnel requirements
• Prepares weekly housekeeping schedule
• Performs cleaning duties in cases of emergency or staff shortage.
• Examines building to determine need for repairs or replacement of furniture or equipment, and makes recommendations to management.
• Issues supplies and equipment to workers.
• Advises manager, Front Office of rooms ready for occupancy.
• Investigates complaints regarding housekeeping service and equipment, and takes corrective action.

REQUIREMENTS:

• 1 year or more of housekeeping experience.
• Clear concise written and verbal communication skills in English
• Being Bilingual and speaking Spanish & English is a plus
• Must be have knowledge of using a computer
• Must be flexible & able to work Weekends, Weekdays, or Holidays- As Needed by Management
• Must have excellent organizational skills
• Must be Legally Eligible to work in the United States of America
• Candidates without any Hotel Housekeeping experience WILL NOT BE CONSIDERED
