Position Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and organized Housing Coordinator to join our team in supporting community members in achieving housing stability. This role involves conducting client intake assessments, setting housing goals, providing referrals, and maintaining accurate records. The ideal candidate will be proactive, culturally competent, and passionate about helping individuals navigate housing challenges.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct initial intake assessments to evaluate clients’ housing needs and barriers.
- Assist clients in establishing budgets and setting financial and housing-related goals.
- Open and maintain comprehensive client files, including intake forms and supporting documentation.
- Develop counseling plans and provide regular follow-up to support clients’ progress toward goals.
- Document all case management services, including program collaboration and service referrals.
- Participate in ongoing housing counseling and educational training sessions.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience required.
- Bilingual preferred (languages such as Burmese, Nepali, Korean, Arabic, Swahili, etc.).
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Self-motivated and customer service-oriented.
- Ability to work collaboratively with team members at all levels.
- Must pass a background check.
- Flexible schedule availability (e.g., weekends for workshops or outreach events).
