The Human Resources Representative will lead onsite HR duties by engaging with employees and performing HR tasks related to recruiting, onboarding/ offboarding, performance management, performance reviews various and HR projects.
Duties/Responsibilities:
- Maintains accurate records of active job openings and received applications; manages internal and external job postings.
- Posting openings and reviews applications for open positions; conducts and/or schedules preliminary interviews.
- Attends job fairs and hiring events. Build employee pipelines by engaging in various community organizations.
- Performs administrative and recordkeeping tasks related to staffing changes, which may include layoffs, resignations, terminations, and extended leaves of absence.
- Assists with the administration of employee benefits, which may include collecting and submitting employee information and notice of change in status to health, dental, life, disability, and other insurance carriers or insurance brokers.
- Plans and supports company-wide information meetings such as open enrollment, new hire orientation, and meetings to announce or discuss changes in retirement or benefits plans.
- Conducts or assists with record audits and mandatory reports, which may include I-9 audits, EEO-1 filings, payroll audits, and other compliance reviews.
- Lead and coordinate regional onboarding (30,60,90 reviews).
- Leads regional DOT onboarding compliance and maintenance with support for corporate office.
- Plan and support regional information meetings such as leadership training, company announcements, regional events.
- Stays current on HR trends to develop solutions using current best practices.
- Ensures compliance of federal, state, and city employment laws and regulations.
- Works closely with regional leadership and makes site visits as needed.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
Required Skills/Abilities:
- Strong understanding of laws and regulations to help the company stay in compliance.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite.
Education and Experience:
- At least 3 years of HR experience, some HR Representative level experience preferred
- Recruiting and staffing experience preferred
- Preferred Bi-lingual (English and Spanish)
- Experience with various Human Resources Information Systems.
