Compassionate Friends Homecare, LLC is seeking an In-home caregiver for a client in Steubenville, OH. This position is approved for 9 hours per week through the VA. The client's care plan will be discussed upon hire.
Job Overview
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide high-quality care to individuals in their own homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in long-term care and a genuine desire to provide dependable care. This role requires a blend of personal care, companionship, light housekeeping and assistance with daily living activities.
Duties
- Provide personal care services including bathing, grooming, and dressing assistance.
- Reminders to take medications
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary needs and preferences.
- Offer companionship and engage clients in social activities to promote mental well-being
- Help with light housekeeping tasks to maintain a clean and safe living environment.
- Communicate effectively with family members regarding the client's condition and needs.
Qualifications
- Previous experience in senior care, caregiving or home health is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to build trusting relationships with clients.
- Patience, dependability, and a positive attitude are critical for success in this role.
