Job Summary
We are seeking a compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregiver to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various medical environments, outpatient clinics, and will be equipped to assist clients with daily living activities while ensuring their safety and comfort. This role is vital in enhancing the quality of life for our clients, allowing them to maintain independence in their own homes.
Duties
- Assist clients with personal care tasks such as bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Support clients with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor for any side effects or changes in condition.
- Provide companionship and engage clients in meaningful activities to promote mental well-being.
- Prepare nutritious meals according to dietary restrictions or preferences.
- Maintain a clean and safe living environment by performing light housekeeping duties.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding any changes in the client's condition or needs.
- Document care provided and report any concerns to family members or healthcare providers.
Skills
- Knowledge of medical terminology and procedures related to various healthcare settings such as inpatient units, emergency medicine, and outpatient clinics.
- Strong interpersonal skills to build rapport with clients and their families.
