Are you looking to make a difference in the lives of seniors? We are a dedicated non-medical care agency seeking caring and compassionate In-Home Caregivers to join our team on a contracted basis. This rewarding role focuses on enhancing the quality of life for clients by providing essential support in their homes.
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist clients with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing.
- Provide meal preparation and nutritional guidance tailored to individual dietary needs.
- Foster companionship by engaging clients in social activities to promote mental well-being.
- Administer medications as prescribed and monitor health conditions.
- Assist with mobility and transfers, ensuring safety at all times.
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for clients.
- Communicate effectively with healthcare professionals regarding client progress and any changes in condition.
- Document care provided and report any concerns to family members or healthcare providers.
In this role, you will assist patients with various daily tasks and provide basic medical support, helping individuals maintain their independence and receive necessary care in a comfortable, familiar environment.
Qualifications:
Activities of Daily Living (ADLs): Assisting with tasks such as bathing, dressing, grooming, toileting, and eating.
Mobility Support: Helping patients with transferring from bed to chair, ambulating using assistive devices, and repositioning to prevent pressure sores.
Medication Reminders: Ensuring patients take their medications as prescribed and on time.
Basic Medical Procedures: Assisting with minor wound care, catheter care, and setting up medical equipment.
Maintaining a Safe Environment: Ensuring the patient's home is clean and free of hazards.
Light Housekeeping and Meal Preparation: Assisting with tasks like doing dishes, laundry, or meal preparation, particularly for individuals living alone.
Companionship and Emotional Support: Providing a reliable and empathetic presence for the patient, engaging in conversation, and offering emotional support.
Transportation: Driving patients to appointments or accompanying them on errands.
