Job Overview
We are seeking compassionate and dedicated In Home Caregivers to provide essential support to individuals in their homes. The ideal candidate will have experience in various medical settings and a strong understanding of patient care needs. This role is vital in ensuring the comfort, safety, and well-being of clients, allowing them to maintain their independence while receiving the care they require.
Responsibilities
- Assist clients with daily living activities such as bathing, grooming, and meal preparation
- Monitor and record patient health status and report any changes to healthcare professionals
- Provide companionship and emotional support to clients
- Administer medications as prescribed and ensure adherence to care plans
- Help clients with mobility and transportation needs, including accompanying them to appointments
- Maintain a clean and safe environment for clients, ensuring all safety protocols are followed
- Collaborate with family members and healthcare teams to enhance the quality of care provided
Qualifications
- Level II trauma center experience is preferred
- Experience in hospital medicine or emergency medicine is a plus
- Familiarity with Level I Trauma Center protocols is advantageous
- Background in Pediatric Intensive Care Unit (PICU) or Operating Room (OR) experience is beneficial
- Knowledge of geriatrics and medical-surgical care is essential
- Experience working in inpatient settings, teaching hospitals, or post-acute care environments is desirable
- Outpatient clinic experience or sub-acute care experience will be considered an asset
- Strong communication skills and a compassionate approach to caregiving are required
