Job Summary
We are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Part-Time Floater Teacher to join our team. This position is responsible for providing support across classrooms by covering teacher breaks, assisting with transitions, and ensuring a smooth closing process. The ideal candidate will be flexible, nurturing, and able to adapt to various age groups while maintaining a safe and engaging learning environment.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide classroom coverage for teachers during breaks and assist where needed.
- Support a safe, nurturing, and positive learning environment for children.
- Assist with transitions, including meal times, nap times, and activities.
- Ensure compliance with all daycare policies, health, and safety regulations.
- Maintain a clean and organized classroom environment.
- Communicate effectively with staff, children, and parents.
- Assist in closing duties, ensuring classrooms are properly cleaned and prepared for the next day.
- Work collaboratively with the team to support children’s development and well-being.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Must meet state licensing requirements.
- Previous experience in a childcare or educational setting preferred.
- Ability to work with children of various age groups.
- Strong communication and teamwork skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
- Must be able to assist with closing duties as scheduled.
- Ability to lift up to 30 lbs and actively engage with children.
Schedule & Compensation:
- Part-time position with flexible hours.
- Starting at $10 per hour (based on experience and qualifications).
