Pooh's Corner Early Childhood Center is a NYS Network Early Educational Program, licensed through the NYS Office of Children and Family Services. We have been serving the families of NYS employees along with the surrounding community for over 40 years! We are urgently interviewing candidates to fill an immediate Teaching Assistant position in our Infant classroom. Candidate will work alongside our seasoned classroom teacher and share the responsibility of the supervision, health and safety of up to 8 Infants ages 6 weeks through 18 months. Our classroom teaching staff strive to fulfill our mission to create a safe and loving environment for social, emotional, intellectual, physical and spiritual growth through their daily interactions, communication and curriculum planning.
Minimum Qualifications: Candidates must be at least 18 years of age and hold either a High School Diploma or GED. Previous professional experience working with young children in a licensed early childhood program is a plus!
Schedule: FT - Monday through Friday, 8-5 with a 60-minute lunch break.
Salary: The starting salary is $35,000/year. Yearly salary increases based on performance, and current enrollment, which is determined by our Board of Directors.
