We are looking for qualified caregivers to prepare children developmentally and emotionally by easing them into a nurturing environment. The caregivers will be responsible for planning and implementing a developmentally appropriate, child-centered program activities that promote the social-emotional, cognitive, and physical development of each child through exploration and discovery. All practices must be consistent with guidelines put forth by RCAO/Helping Hands Learning Academy, NJDOL, and the Birth to Three Learning Standards. The caregiver must have a great love and patience for children.
Responsibilities
- Plan and maintain a well-organized, safe, clean, learning environment conducive to the optimal growth and development of children and assure the well-being and safety of the children in his/her care.
- Promote healthy child growth and development through play.
- Provide nurturing and responsive caregiving techniques.
- Observe each child to help them improve their social competencies and build self-esteem.
- Encourage children to interact with each other and resolve occasional arguments.
- Guide children to develop their artistic and practical capabilities.
- Fully implement the Creative Curriculum and daily schedule.
- Create lesson plans to guide learning.
- Organize nap and snack hours and supervise children to ensure they are safe at all times.
- Track children’s progress through Teaching Strategies GOLD and report to parents.
- Communicate with parents regularly through the ProCare app.
- Collaborate with other educators.
- Maintain a clean and tidy classroom consistent with health and safety standards.
Skills
- Proven experience as a Infant/Toddler Caregiver
- Excellent understanding of the principles of child development and preschool educational methods
- Familiarity with safety and sanitation guidelines for classrooms
- Excellent communication and instructional skills
- Ability to act as mediator between children
- Cool-tempered, friendly and reliable
- Certification in child CPR
- Child Development Associate (CDA)
- or a Valid license to practice profession

Pay: $17.00 - $20.00 per hour
