Informatica Developer – remote USA
Role Description:
The Informatica Developer will be meeting with users, business units and data modeling teams to craft and assemble technical designs for solutions to be implemented. This person should come from a development background within large data warehousing environments and will be interacting with both technical and non-technical audiences within Informatica PowerCenter development teams while providing Production support and defining dataflows. The ideal person can take source to target mappings and be able to code independently.
Job Duties:
- Work with upper management to understand the scope of the work and escalate to the right leads in case of issues/delays within large data warehousing environments.
- Navigate UNIX scripts and create code as required and understand the business requirement or the downstream process requirements while serving as technical liaison between teams regarding new system implementations, development, integration, and changes while collaborating with management to design technical solution.
- Design, code, configure, test, debug, and document system and application programs within Informatica PowerCenter solution implementation and support.
- Review functional and technical specifications prepared by vendors.
- Review test scope, test approach/strategies, manage defects closing during the SIT and UAT.
- Serve as primary point of contact between users and engineering/development staff on nonproduction and production environments.
- Ensure development guide and best practice for developing PowerCenter solutions are followed.
- Support in Production for Informatica PowerCenter and fix production defects.
Education & Requirements:
- Bachelor’s Degree is required
- 4+ years’ experience with Informatica PowerCenter development and related components technologies within large data warehouse environments
- 4+ years’ experience with UNIX OS
- Experience with working on Oracle, SQL Server, PL/SQL and Informatica ETLs is required
- Must have Advanced SQL skills & SQL Testing experience
- Experience with Informatica Cloud (IICS or IDMC) is a must
- Strong understanding of Control-M Scheduling, Datawarehouse architectural patterns, and batch processes is a must
- Snowflake experience is required
Plus:
- Hands on experience using Informatica MDM tool is highly desired but not required
- Previous experience in banking/financial sectors is a plus
