Title: Training Developer / Instructional Designer II (L & D or LMS)

Job Summary :
We are seeking a creative and detail-oriented Instructional Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the planning, researching, outlining and developing of end-user training including training manuals/documents, eLearning, online guided learning, and training support documentation and materials that enhance learning experiences.
This role requires a strong understanding of instructional design principles, adult education theories, and the ability to utilize various learning technologies. The Instructional Designer will collaborate with subject matter experts to create high-quality content that meets the needs of diverse learners.
Responsibilities / Duties:
- Collaborate with subject matter experts (SMEs) to create training manuals/documents, eLearning, online guided learning that aligns with learning objectives.
- Utilize Learning Management Systems (LMS) to deliver and track training programs.
- Create visually appealing content using graphic design tools such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite, etc. including Photoshop, Illustrator, and Captivate.
- Conduct research to stay current with trends in instructional design and learning technology.
- Provide support in change management stakeholder tracking
- Provide support in gathering needs analysis
- Documents change impacts/risks
- Provide support in planning and creating learning and development resources
- Provide support in training delivery (eg. Train the Trainer)
- Engage in meeting facilitation
- Manage, assess, design, develop, implement, evaluate, maintain, and evaluate learning programs
- Conduct training needs analysis
- Conduct instructor led and web design training sessions
- Create training documents including job designs, coaching tools, web-based e-learning
- Deliver instructor led, web ex, and e-training
- Works with IT groups and functional team to describe and document systems or processes that have been developed or are in the process of being developed.
- Participates in business requirements, functional design and testing work sessions.
- May provide input to cost/time estimates.
- Conducts research by interviewing subject matter experts, reviewing existing documentation and by gleaning information from the system or product being documented.
- Develops an understanding of the requirements for the features being documented, including target audience.
- Creates graphics that aid the target audience in understanding the documented material.
- Provides input concerning GUI design and wording of messages.
- Designs and writes documentation on selected media.
- Ensures all documentation is delivered according to specified guidelines. Proofreads documents for accuracy.
- Works with technical resources to improve document quality and usability.
- Tracks and corrects documentation defects.
- Follows the documentation project through to completion, including client signoff, production and archival.
- Maintains internal documentation library and provides and/or coordinates special documentation services as required.
- Participates in departmental efforts to develop and update documentation standards, templates and procedures.
- Provides coaching and guidance to junior members.
Qualifications
- Bachelors degree in Adult Education, Psychology, Business, Communications, Education, Information Solutions /Technology, Computer Engineering, or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience
- 5+ years of experience in training development or technical writing.
- 2-yrs to 5-years of experience in instructional design work or related field..
- Working knowledge of multiple software and graphics packages (Eg: Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Illustrator) and video editing tools.
- Familiarity with LMS platforms, Learning & Development (L&D) is preferred.
- Excellent communication skills, written & verbal w/ strong proofreading abilities.
- Ability to conduct research effectively to inform content development decisions.
- Strong visual design skills with an eye for detail in creating engaging learning materials.
- Strong technical writing skills
- Experience in adult learning
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office products
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with multiple consulting clients and industry across all functions
- Familiarity with overall change management methodology
- Knowledge in organization behavior, communication planning, and adult learning model
- Interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral), time management, and planning
- Experience in e-Learning techniques (i.e. Articulate, Rise, Camtasia, Lectora)
- Experience in Guided Learning (i.e. Oracle OGL, Walk Me, SAP Companion)
- Able to work collaboratively in a team environment

Pay: $60,843.44 - $75,051.23 per year
