We are currently seeking a Dispatcher with experience dispatching container freight via Charleston ports, for our fast paced, high energy terminal office. If you are ready to become a member of a GREAT team with a rewarding career, we want to hear from YOU!
RESPONSIBILITIES include but are not limited to:
1. Dispatch multiple over the road and/or local owner-operators based on customer requirements.
2. Receive, enter, and dispatch orders promptly within established timelines, considering last free day, per diem and demurrage.
3. Respond to customer queries in a timely and accurate manner, via phone, email, text, or chat.
4. Update TMS with information required to report on loads, Port pick up dates, Arrivals and EQ returns.
5. Reconcile daily yard checks to reduce wait times and additional charges to both terminal expense and drivers.
Requirements include but are not limited to:
1. Minimum of 2 years Container Freight (Charleston ports experience required)
2. Data Entry
3. Understanding of Driver pay and percentage-based freight
4. Ability to work independently and as part of a team
5. Must be proficient with most mainstream office software
