THE ROLE
We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Finance/Accounting Intern to join the Finance team at One World Observatory. This is a hands-on internship opportunity designed for students pursuing a degree in accounting, finance, or a related field who are eager to gain real-world experience in the hospitality and entertainment industry.
ESSENTIAL DUTES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
- Assist with daily financial reconciliations, including point-of-sale and ticketing system audits
- Support the monthly close process by preparing journal entries and reconciling general ledger accounts
- Help maintain accurate records of accounts payable and receivable
- Perform data entry and assist in tracking budgets and expenses across departments
- Participate in financial analysis and reporting tasks as needed
- Support internal audits by organizing and retrieving required documentation
- Collaborate with team members on special projects and ad hoc reports
- Ensure compliance with internal controls and company financial policies
- Complete other duties assigned by the Accounting/Finance team

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE
- Currently pursuing a bachelor’s or master’s degree in accounting, Finance, or related field
- Strong proficiency in Microsoft Excel; familiarity with financial systems or accounting software is a plus
SKILLS AND ABILITIES
- High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and integrity
- Strong organizational, analytical, and time-management skills
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
COMPENSATION
$16.50/hour; paid sick leave.
This is a paid internship with flexible scheduling to accommodate class commitments
Internship duration: Summer or Fall semester (with potential for extension)
