SUMMARY: The Inventory Control Clerk is responsible for maintaining inventory level records. The data entered by the Inventory Clerk is used to improve the level of service to internal and external customers while reducing the impact of stock levels and decreasing shipping errors. Inventory Clerks stock and count supplies and report any differences between the actual count and the stock levels in company records via Epicor and the Transaction Control team.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES/RESPONSIBILITIES:

- Will perform cycle counts, inventory reduction and handle obsolete inventory
- Use computerized inventory software (ERP) to record all inventory related data & demonstrates proficiency in ERP software
- Communicate with transaction control and management to improve inventory accuracy
Trends on inventory with detailed explanation
Recommendations to resolve inventory issues & reporting discrepancies in inventory
- Track results based on recommendations
- Complete various administrative duties as assigned

Shares in idea generation to improve output or efficiency to meet or exceed standards.

Must follow all Ohio Gratings safety guidelines and procedures. Must comply with all OSHA guidelines as trained by Ohio Gratings.

EDUCATION, WORK EXPERIENCE, AND PROFICIENCIES:
- High School Diploma Required
- Forklift Certification preferred
- Prior Knowledge of ERP/RF systems preferred
- 3 years related experience preferred
- General supervision is required. Associate generally works alone performing routine work and checks with supervisor only when in doubt.
PHYSICAL DEMANDS:
- Ability to stand, walk, sit, climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch and crawl.
- Ability to use hands/arms to reach, handle, or feel objects, tools or controls.
- Ability to work in multiple areas of the plant and may be exposed to wet and humid conditions.
- Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs.
- Must have excellent vision, distant and peripheral, with the ability to identify and distinguish colors, and adjust focus.
- Will work near moving mechanical parts, high and/or confining places.
- Ability to sit or stand while counting inventory for long periods of time.
