Position Overview:
VIP Systems Inc. is seeking a skilled and proactive IT Operations Specialist to support the company’s growing technology infrastructure. This role is critical in ensuring seamless daily operations by maintaining, troubleshooting, and improving IT systems across the organization.
The IT Operations Specialist will provide front-line support for all internal users, managing hardware, software, and network environments. Responsibilities include configuring user accounts, maintaining endpoint security, overseeing hardware deployments, and assisting with IT asset management. Beyond general IT support, this role will also lead CRM system configuration and module development, ensuring custom workflows, automations, and integrations meet operational requirements.
The ideal candidate will also work closely with our field service teams, providing expert technical support for project implementation, system integrations, and troubleshooting across field technologies., offering project-level technical support for low-voltage systems, including CCTV, access control, VLAN setup, and secure remote access. This position requires a blend of IT fundamentals, business application knowledge, and low-voltage system familiarity to effectively support both office and field operations.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide day-to-day IT support across departments, ensuring timely resolution of hardware, software, and network issues.
- Configure, maintain, and customize the company’s CRM system, including module development, field mapping, workflow automation, and integrations.
- Assist field service technicians with remote connectivity, mobile device support, and project-related technical issues.
- Support, maintain, and troubleshoot low-voltage systems, including CCTV, access control, and structured cabling infrastructure.
- Manage VLAN setup and segmented network environments in coordination with the IT and Network teams.
- Implement and manage secure remote access environments (VPNs, remote desktop tools, etc.).
- Oversee deployment and configuration of computers, laptops, tablets, and related devices.
- Maintain inventory and documentation for IT assets, licenses, and procedures.
- Participate in IT-related projects, system upgrades, and technology rollouts.
- Ensure compliance with internal IT policies, cybersecurity protocols, and backup procedures.
- Monitor system performance, identify areas for improvement, and recommend upgrades.
- Train end-users on new technologies and systems as needed.
- Assist with email server management, mobile device management (MDM), and cloud storage tools.
- Coordinate with external vendors and service providers for hardware and software procurement and support.
- Provide input on IT policy updates and help implement new procedures to enhance system efficiency and security.
Qualifications:
- Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related field.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in IT support or systems administration.
- Strong experience with Microsoft 365, Windows OS, Active Directory, and basic networking.
- Hands-on experience with CRM systems (Zoho, Salesforce, or similar), including custom workflows and integrations.
- Working knowledge of CCTV systems, access control technologies, VLANs, and IP-based remote access solutions.
- Familiarity with remote support tools and IT ticketing systems.
- Excellent communication and organizational skills.
- Bilingual (English/Spanish) is preferred.
Working Conditions:
- Full-time, on-site position based in Miramar, Florida.
- Occasional field support and travel may be required.
- Must be able to lift up to 40 lbs.
- Availability for after-hours or weekend support as needed for maintenance or emergencies.
