Monthly base pay estimated at $1,250–$1,400 (based on ~16 hours/week average)
Schedule:
- Year-Round Base: 1 service per week (approx. 3–4 hours)
- May–September: Additional 4x/week cleaning of public areas (approx. +8–10 hrs/week)
- Estimated Total Hours: 16 hours/week average (seasonal variance)
- Work must be performed after 5:00 PM on weekdays or anytime on weekends
Job Description:
Xplicit Technologies, LLC is seeking a highly reliable and detail-oriented Janitor to provide professional custodial services at the USDA Forest Service’s Quinault Ranger District Office. You will play a critical role in maintaining a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for staff, visitors, and the community. This is a long-term federal contract opportunity, ideal for a local professional with janitorial experience and strong pride in their work.
Responsibilities Include:
Weekly Cleaning (Year-Round):
- Clean and sanitize restrooms (toilets, sinks, floors, restocking supplies)
- Vacuum and mop floors in offices and common areas
- Clean kitchenettes and wipe down surfaces
- Empty trash/recycling bins and replace liners
- General dusting and spot cleaning of high-touch surfaces
Daily Public Area Cleaning (May–Sept, 4x/week):
- Sweep and mop entryways
- Wipe down public touchpoints (doors, counters, restrooms)
- Replace paper goods and hand soap in restrooms
Seasonal and Deep Cleaning Tasks (Scheduled):
- Quarterly: Detail clean of fixtures, vents, blinds
- Annually:
- Window washing (June)
- Carpet cleaning (September)
- Deep cleaning of bunkhouses and wellness room (Nov–Feb)
Emergency Response (Occasional):
- Respond to urgent issues such as spills, contamination, or flooding (within 2–4 hours)
Requirements:
- Minimum 2 years of janitorial or custodial experience (commercial or residential)
- Must be local to the Quinault, WA area
- Must provide own transportation to and from job site
- Must pass a background check prior to assignment
- Ability to lift up to 40 lbs and operate basic janitorial equipment
- Attention to detail and ability to follow a schedule with minimal supervision
- Must be comfortable with independent work after hours
Supplies & Equipment:
All janitorial supplies, tools, and equipment will be provided by the contractor (Xplicit Technologies). You are not expected to bring your own.
Compensation and Work Terms:
- 1099 Contract Position (Independent Contractor – not W2 employee)
- Pay is disbursed bi-weekly via direct deposit
- Contract is contingent upon federal contract award and may renew annually for up to 5 years
- Monthly hours may vary depending on seasonal workload
