Jr. QA Tester

• Design, develop and execute automation suite under the supervision of experienced QA engineers initially and then work independently.
• Work with Development (Analyst/Developer/QA) team and also cross-functional teams (if required) to understand the end-to-end flow and data needed to test the application.
• Identify, record, thoroughly document and track bugs adding to our automation suite.
• Perform thorough regression testing post deployment (Defect fixes, requirement change, environment refresh, Interface configuration etc.).
• Familiar with a project’s complete life cycle implementation (Full stack of design/development/execute/implement)
  
  
  

Required

• 1-2 years of coding experience in JavaScript (Node.js)
• Must have understanding on Test Automation framework and tools such as Cypress, Playwright, Selenium, WebDriver, API Restful Web services
• Knowledge of version control systems (git) and issue trackers (Jira)
• Integration of automated test runs with CI/CD
• Must know how to write SQL queries able to create tools/utilities and mock services.

• Willingness to learn new things on a regular basis
• Experience working in an Agile (Scrum/Kanban) and TDD/BDD environment.
• Experience with programming languages, debugging and test automation strategies.
• Understands and follows Quality engineering and Quality assurance processes.
• Expected to have high attention to details, capable of proposing trade-offs and risk assessment to stakeholders.

Physical Requirements

• Prolonged periods of remaining stationary at a desk and working on a computer
• Must be able to lift to 15 lbs., as needed
• Must be able to work on-site (corporate/client offices), as needed (not applicable for 100% remote roles)
• Occasionally required to bend, kneel, crouch, and reach overhead.
• Hand-eye coordination necessary to operate computers and various pieces of office equipment.
