Junior Business Development Manager for Payments Team

Why this role exists

This role exists to support the growth and operational performance of our payment provider network.

You’ll help us manage the full provider lifecycle — from initial offer review and KYB checks to contracting, integration, performance monitoring, and ongoing partner management. You’ll also bring structure and visibility to provider negotiations and commercial activity through accurate CRM and performance tracking.

What you’ll drive

Provider sourcing & commercial evaluation

• Review incoming PSP proposals and rate cards, assessing commercial attractiveness and operational feasibility;
• Conduct competitive analysis to understand provider positioning and market conditions;
• Track ongoing negotiations, commercial terms, and provider status in the CRM;
• Maintain a clear view of the payment provider pipeline and upcoming opportunities;

Provider onboarding & integrations

• Support KYB and compliance checks by coordinating required corporate documentation;
• Drive the contracting process through execution in collaboration with Legal and Compliance teams;
• Coordinate documentation handover and preparation for technical integrations;
• Track integration progress and help unblock issues across internal and external teams;

Performance & analytics

• Monitor daily transaction conversion rates and key payment performance metrics across providers;
• Identify anomalies, performance drops, and operational opportunities;
• Prepare regular performance analysis and highlight areas requiring attention;
• Prepare monthly and quarterly business review materials for key PSP partners;

Partner & stakeholder management

• Maintain effective working relationships with payment providers and vendor partners;
• Coordinate with internal Payments, Legal, Compliance, Product, Finance, and Technical teams;
• Support ongoing provider lifecycle management and administrative workflows;
• Communicate updates, risks, and action points clearly to relevant stakeholders;

CRM & process management

• Own and maintain HubSpot data for the Payments team, including provider status, contracts, fees, and partner information;
• Ensure all deals, negotiations, and relevant provider interactions are accurately tracked;
• Improve data quality and visibility across the payment provider pipeline;
• Contribute to more efficient and structured provider management processes.

What makes you a GR8 fit

Must-have

• 1–2 years of experience in Fintech, Payments, E-commerce, Business Development, or Business Operations;
• Understanding of payment providers, payment flows, or basic payment performance metrics;
• Hands-on experience with CRM systems, preferably HubSpot;
• Familiarity with KYB/KYC processes and basic legal or compliance documentation;
• Strong analytical skills and confidence working with spreadsheets and business data;
• Strong organizational skills and attention to detail;
• Good verbal and written communication skills;

Nice to have

• Experience working directly with PSPs or payment vendors;
• Understanding of metrics such as approval/conversion rates, chargeback ratios, and transaction volumes;
• Experience supporting payment integrations or technical projects;
• Experience preparing business reviews or performance reports for partners;
• Experience in an international or fast-growing environment.
