We are seeking a proactive and technically skilled Junior Desktop Support and Telephony Technician to join our IT team. This entry-level role involves providing first-line support to end-users for desktop systems and telephony hardware/software. The ideal candidate will have a passion for IT support, a customer-focused mindset, and a willingness to learn.
Key Responsibilities:
Desktop Support:
Respond to support tickets and service requests related to desktop hardware, software, and peripherals.
Install, configure, and troubleshoot Windows/macOS operating systems and standard software applications (e.g., MS Office, browsers).
Set up and deploy desktops, laptops, monitors, and other user equipment.
Perform user account management (Active Directory, email, etc.).
Maintain an inventory of IT assets and ensure proper documentation of support activities.
Assist with basic network troubleshooting (e.g., connectivity, printing issues).
Telephony Support:
Support and maintain VoIP phone systems and handsets (e.g., Cisco, Avaya, or other PBX systems).
Troubleshoot telephony issues including call quality, voicemail, and call routing problems.
Assist in configuring softphone applications on user devices.
Provide support during system upgrades or migrations.
Document telephony configurations and changes.
Required Skills and Qualifications:
0–2 years of experience in a desktop support or similar IT support role.
Basic understanding of computer hardware and software troubleshooting.
Familiarity with VoIP telephony systems and tools is a plus.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to follow instructions and work as part of a team.
Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
