The Position

We’re looking for an enthusiastic Junior Lecturer/Academic Owner in Human Resource Management to join our fully remote team!

This is an ideal opportunity for an early-career academic or HR professional who is passionate about people, organisations and developing future HR professionals.

In this role, you will support the development, facilitation and assessment of learning across Human Resource Management modules, including People Leadership and Governance, Talent Management, People Management, Human Resource Governance, and related HR and people management modules.

You will help students understand how effective people management contributes to organisational success, while developing their ability to apply HR principles to real workplace challenges. You will also contribute to ensuring that our curriculum remains current, practical and responsive to the changing world of work.

Key Responsibilities

  • Facilitate engaging and interactive online learning sessions across assigned HR and people management modules.
  • Support the development and review of high-quality, outcomes-based learning content.
  • Design and contribute to assessments that promote applied learning, critical thinking and sound professional judgement.
  • Assess student performance through formative, summative and practical assessments.
  • Support learning across areas such as people management, talent management, leadership, HR governance and contemporary people practices.
  • Provide students with academic support and respond to content-related queries.
  • Conduct internal moderation and contribute to the quality assurance of teaching materials and assessments.
  • Assist with the development and ongoing review of assigned modules.
  • Ensure marking, assessment and results processes meet required academic standards.
  • Work with part-time lecturers, markers, examiners and moderators where required.
  • Engage with HR professionals and industry developments to ensure learning remains connected to contemporary workplace practice.
  • Stay abreast of emerging trends in HR, talent, leadership, governance, technology and the future of work.
  • Collaborate closely with academic and administrative teams to support student engagement and success.

Education & Experience Requirements

  • A relevant Honours degree in Human Resource Management, Industrial Psychology, Business Management or a closely related field.
  • A master’s degree, or current enrolment towards a relevant master’s degree, would be advantageous.
  • Relevant HR, people management or organisational experience would be advantageous.
  • Some teaching, tutoring, facilitation or training experience would be advantageous, but the role is also suitable for a strong candidate looking to further develop their academic career.
  • A sound understanding of contemporary Human Resource Management principles and practices.
  • An interest in areas such as talent management, people leadership, employee development and HR governance.
  • Familiarity with online learning technologies and platforms would be advantageous.
  • A passion for student engagement, applied learning and academic quality.
