Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic JV Field Hockey Coach to join our Villa Joseph Marie HS team. The ideal candidate will support the Varsity coach in developing athletes' skills, promoting teamwork, and fostering a positive environment. Season begins August 11th 2025.
Responsibilities
- Assist the head coach in planning and implementing training sessions that enhance athletes' skills and performance.
- Coach the JV team and serve as an assistant varsity coach.
- Regular attendance at all practice and games
- Must travel on team bus for away games
- Monitor athletes during practice sessions and competitions to ensure adherence to safety protocols.
- Foster a supportive team environment that encourages participation and personal development.
- Attend the School's Open house to represent Field Hockey team once a year.
- Evaluate athlete performance and provide constructive feedback for improvement.
- Organize team meetings and communicate effectively with athletes and their families regarding schedules, expectations, and events.
Skills
- Field Hockey Coaching experience preferred but not mandatory. If you have experience in Field Hockey and have an interest in coaching you are encouraged to apply.
- Ability to motivate and inspire athletes of varying skill levels.
- Strong communication skills for effective interaction with athletes, parents, and fellow coaches.
