JOB TITLE SUMMARY
Job Title: Manager, Hockey Equipment and Operations
Division: Intercollegiate Athletics

Job Summary
The manager, hockey equipment and operations assists the head coach with managing day-to-day functions of the hockey program, including, but not limited to equipment management, team travel, practice schedule, and any other area of responsibility.
Essential Job Functions and Performance Indicators
The intent of this job description is to provide a representation of the types of duties and level of responsibility that will be required of positions given this title. Job Responsibilities and Execution
- Oversees day-to-day operations of hockey program
- Assists with recruiting efforts, potential student-athletes’ campus visits, and planning on-campus recruitment activities
- Develops, monitors, and manages program/activity budgets associated with team travel and equipment
- Arranges and executes contracts for all aspects of team travel, including, but not limited to logistics, hotels, transportation, meals, equipment, and game operations
- Compiles and maintains equipment inventory
- Inspects/maintains all uniform/gear-related issues
- Anticipates and proactively addresses all logistical needs of the hockey program
- Oversees team calendar and performs daily administrative duties
- Coordinates incoming team’s arrival and departure
- Assists with game uploads (home and away)
Service Excellence
- Supports the mission of the University and serves as an ambassador of the Q2 culture of service excellence
- Models, supports, and holds others accountable to the University’s values – integrity, dedication, excellence, creativity, and teamwork
- Refers student-athletes as needed to various departments, including Financial Aid, Housing, and Lindenwood Dining, to best address particular inquires/circumstances
Communication, Teamwork, and Collaboration
- Serves as primary hockey staff contact for other departments and campus units
- Serves as liaison to the University’s Athletics academic support staff, Athletics Compliance Office, Student Services Office, and Bursar’s Office
- Collaborates with Student Support Services to ensure student-athlete health, safety, and well-being
Job may require other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications – An equivalent combination of education, training, and experience will be considered. Additional requirements may be designated by position.
- Bachelor’s degree
- Playing and coaching experience preferred
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities – May be representative, but not all inclusive, of the knowledge, skills, and abilities necessary to perform this job competently.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively with individuals from diverse communities and cultures
- Ability to use discretion and sound judgment
- Proficient with video technology and software used to record/review game footage
- Extensive knowledge of NCAA rules, policies, and procedures, including, but not limited to rules related to non-coaching staff members with sport-specific responsibilities
