Job Description: Fieldwork has recently began offering Detroit-Style Pizza at the San Mateo Taproom. The job will require candidates to learn our processes, manage/receive food supply inventory, execute food preparation, and most importantly, execute the menu for our guests. Are you someone who thrives in a high-volume, fast-paced environment? Do you have experience with fast, casual food prep and can manage time effectively? If you have a passion for craft beer, pizza, and happy customers, we want you to join our team as a Kitchen Associate!
Responsibilities:
- Assist in food preparation and handling, maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and food safety.
- Manage and complete food orders.
- Assist with setting up and breaking down the taproom for daily operations.
- Monitor and replenish food supply.
- Clean and sanitize work areas, equipment, utensils, and dishes
- Mix ingredients for salads
- Keep food in suitable containers and storage areas to prevent spoilage
- Take and record the temperature of food and food storage areas
- Ensure compliance with all alcohol/food service laws and regulations.
Requirements:
- Knife skills (Preferred)
- Food prep experience (Preferred).
- Previous experience in a fast-paced customer service role.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong organizational and multitasking abilities.
- Knowledge of craft beer is a plus but not required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older.
- Ability to stand and move for extended periods.
- Flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
- TIPS, RBS, or equivalent alcohol service certification preferred.
