Summary
The Kitchen Lead for Gummy Cooking Operations will be responsible for managing and coordinating the daily activities of the gummy cooking department. This includes being the first point of contact to the kitchen staff team, ensuring adherence to recipes, overseeing the production process, and ensuring the highest standards of food safety, cleanliness, and efficiency are maintained.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities include the following:

- Follows all safety, quality, GDP, and GMP Protocols.
- Oversee all aspects of gummy cooking and tumbling operations, ensuring smooth production from start to finish.
- Manage the preparation, cooking, and tumbling of gummy batches according to established recipes and specifications.
- Act as the primary point of contact between the kitchen staff team and management. Train kitchen staff on proper cooking and tumbling techniques, safety protocols, and equipment usage.
- Monitor cooking times, temperatures, and tumbling processes to ensure product quality and consistency.
- Lead, mentor, and motivate the kitchen staff to achieve organization goals.
- Ensure cleanliness and organization of both the cooking and tumbling areas, including proper storage of ingredients, materials, and finished products.
- Troubleshoot any issues that arise during production or tumbling, implementing corrective actions as needed.
- Collaborate with the Quality Control team to ensure all products meet safety and quality standards.
- Maintain accurate records of batch production, ingredient usage, and inventory levels.
- Monitor staff performance and provide feedback and support to ensure the team meets production targets and quality standards.
- Ensure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation regulations in both the cooking and tumbling areas.
- Assist with the development and testing of new gummy recipes and tumbling methods.
- Report any equipment malfunctions or safety hazards to management in a timely manner.
- Coordinate with the inventory and procurement teams to ensure a steady supply of ingredients and materials.
- Oversee the tumbling process, ensuring gummies are properly coated, tumbled, and prepared for packaging.
- Ensure efficient workflow and coordination between cooking and tumbling operations.
- Perform other duties as assigned

Education and/or Experience
- High or GED required
- Requires 2 years of related experience
- Experience in working in the cannabis industry, or alternatively, in a highly regulated CPG/F&B industry
- Experience with Cannabis related equipment
Required:
- Must be 21+ years old.
- Experience using hand and electrical tools
- Ability to read technical manuals and drawings
- Physical stamina and dexterity
- Must be a self-starter with minimal supervision, able to work independently and in a team environment
- This position requires a 40-hour minimum work week
- Flexible availability for work hours.
- Willingness to work weekends. ? Ability to lift up to 25-lbs.
