This is an onsite, full-time Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. – 4:30pm as a Laboratory Technician 1 position supporting the Lebanon, NJ, location.
SUMMARY
Assist laboratory personnel with the performance of various laboratory functions as directed by Laboratory Management.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Ensure that all glassware(s) are properly washed and stored in the assigned locations.
- Perform routine laboratory support tasks that enable laboratory personnel to meet the laboratories testing demand effectively and efficiently. Job duties include, but are not limited to, QC testing of media, routine Housekeeping, maintaining inventory, sample disposal, and assisting with test setup, as directed by laboratory management.
- Adherence to quality and safety programs.
- Perform other related duties as assigned.
- Contributes to the efficiency and effectiveness of the department's service to its customers by offering suggestions and directing or participating as an active member of a work team.
- Promotes and supports the overall mission of Pace Analytical by demonstrating courteous and cooperative behavior when interacting with customers and staff; acts in a manner that promotes a harmonious and effective workplace environment.
QUALIFICATIONS
Education and Experience
High School diploma is required. Associate’s degree in microbiology or related field is preferred and prior work experience (minimum of 1 year) in a testing laboratory setting is ideal.
Required Knowledge and Skills
- Microsoft office knowledge is preferred.
- This position requires good verbal/written communication skills.
- The ability to work within the defined GMP quality system is a must.

WORKING ENVIRONMENT:
Work is performed in a lab, warehouse and office setting. Work is subject to handling of biohazardous materials and related items in a lab and samples setting.
