CA Labs LLC is seeking a highly motivated individual to fill the position of laboratory analyst currently open at our Baton Rouge facility. The ideal candidate will be capable of working individually as well as in conjunction with other laboratory members; capable of interacting directly with clients; and have a strong analytical background.
The position will be entry-level with room for advancement. Recent graduates and those with limited experience are encouraged to apply. Onsite training is provided. The new hire will work full-time (40-hrs/week salaried) with the opportunity for OT/Commission upon completion of training. Benefits (health, 401k & vacation time) are available upon completion of a 90-day probationary period.

Responsibilities:
- Analysis of construction and environmental samples via polarized light, transmission electron and phase contrast microscopy (on the job training provided).
- Perform quality control and quality assurance activities to ensure laboratory meets all federal and state guidelines.
- Participate in maintenance and upkeep of laboratory equipment.
- Interact regularly with current and potential clients.
Preffered Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in biology, geology, environmental science, or related field.
*Optical mineralogy experience a plus!
*FAAS or ICP-OES experience a plus!
- General laboratory and microscopy experience preferred, but not required.
