Description:
We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented entry-level Laboratory Research Assistant to support our research and development activities in both in vitro and in vivo experimental settings. The position is ideal for students or early-career professionals pursuing a future in life sciences, bioengineering, or related fields. You will be working closely with scientists and engineers to facilitate day-to-day laboratory operations, experimental setup, and sample processing.
Key Responsibilities:
· Assist in the setup and execution of laboratory experiments, including solution preparation, sample labeling, and equipment staging, as directed.
· Support in vivo studies, including setup, surgery assistance, and post-procedure cleanup following IACUC protocols and facility requirements.
· Document experimental data clearly and accurately in lab notebooks or digital format and report findings to senior staff members.
· Maintain a clean and organized lab environment.
· Follow SOPs, safety procedures, and biosafety and chemical handling guidelines.
· Dispose of biological and chemical waste in accordance with Bionaut’s SOPs and guidelines.
Qualification:
· High School diploma required.
· AA degree or at least two years towards a bachelor’s degree in biology, biochemistry, biomedical engineering, or a related field.
· At least one year of laboratory experience, preferably in a research or academic setting.
· Familiarity with standard laboratory techniques, such as pipetting, microscopy, and sample preparation.
· Ability to keep detailed records and basic data documentation.
· Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
· Comfortable working in a cross-functional, fast-paced team and contributing to a collaborative culture.
· A collaborative attitude and flexibility.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: Up to $25.00 per hour
