Overview
Beyond New Horizons, LLC (BNH) has an exciting opportunity for a Laborer, supporting TOS II, at Arnold AFB Tennessee. The selected candidate will be working as a member of an integrated team responsible for [e.g. operating and maintaining or supporting] the United States Air Force Test Operations and Sustainment efforts.
Open to internal and external candidates. The selected candidate for this requisition must be available to work any shift and shift determination will be made based on the priority of work at the time the selected candidate is cleared to report to work.
Job Summary
The successful candidate will under general supervision perform manual work in the testing, operating, and/or assembly and shop areas of an engineering test facility.
Job Duties:
- Following specific instructions, performs a wide variety of laboring tasks either inside or outside, subject
all kinds of weather conditions
- May be required to perform any or all representative assignments
- Performs heavy manual work, such as digging and backfilling trenches and holes
- Moves furniture
- Mixes, carries, and places concrete
- Lays drainpipe other than cast iron
- Spreads dirt, cinders, or gravel
- Operates asphalt kettle, distributor, electric and air tools, pumps, and concrete saws
- Works with shovels, pick axes, jacks, brush cutters, and other hand tools
- Moves, loads and unloads coal, earth, supplies, equipment, and other materials
- Assists craftsmen, operators, technicians, and others by carrying, cleaning, pushing, lifting, pulling, moving or holding tools, materials and equipment
- Cleans tools, shop areas, machines, and equipment as required
- Uses shovels, chemical deicers and other material to remove snow/ice from steps, walkways and other areas
- Removes, bags, or wraps and disposes of asbestos containing material
- It is a condition of employment to wear PPE (Personal Protective Equipment) in accordance with supervisory direction and company policy to include asbestos certification
- Perform other duties as required.
Basic Qualifications:
- Must possess High School Diploma or equivalent
- Two years of work experience is required. Work experience in construction and building and landscape maintenance desired.
- Any pre-screening/tests required (not including standard background/clearance checks)
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance and the AEDC local area network
- Current U. S. Citizenship required
Preferred Qualifications
- Class A Commercial Driver’s License with “X” Endorsement is desired
