Position Summary:
The Landscape Restoration Crew Lead is responsible for supervising and performing site restoration work following excavation or construction. This role leads by example in executing physical tasks such as grading, seeding, and property repair, while ensuring all work meets safety and quality standards. The Crew Lead will oversee a team, operate equipment, and ensure project goals are met efficiently and safely.

Work Environment and Physical Requirements:
Restore excavation and construction sites by raking, grading, shoveling, leveling soil, and applying grass seed.
Lead and participate in loading/unloading of construction materials and tools.
Direct and assist crew in removing, filling, or compacting earth to restore disturbed property.
Operate or work around heavy equipment and machinery such as backhoes, jackhammers, tampers, trenchers, saws, and pumps.
Ensure site cleanliness and safety through daily inspections and end-of-day clean-up.
Travel to and from various job sites with tools, materials, and crew.
Perform minor maintenance and care of tools and equipment.
Follow instructions from supervisors and help train crew members on safe work practices.
Promote a safety-first culture and ensure crew compliance with all safety procedures and PPE requirements.
Perform other duties as assigned to support operational needs.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Minimum 1 year of experience in hardscape landscaping or related outdoor physical labor.
Prior leadership or crew management experience is a plus.
Valid driver’s license and insurable driving record.
Must pass pre-employment background check and drug screening.
Familiarity with tools and equipment used in landscaping, construction, or utility restoration.
Willingness and ability to travel between job sites as needed.
Experience in telecommunications, underground utilities, or construction industry.
Working knowledge of mechanical equipment and basic repair skills.
Must be able to perform strenuous tasks for extended hours, including working outdoors in various weather conditions.
Must be able to lift, carry, and maneuver items weighing 40–90 pounds.
Ability to stoop, kneel, crouch, and crawl while working on uneven terrain.
Must maintain visual and audible awareness of surroundings and team members to ensure safety.
Required to wear safety gear including boots, glasses, hard hat, and other PPE as needed.
