Duties
- Start and operate as a solo-operator for one year
- Successfully complete a two-part program designed to train new transportation company officers in operations and small business management
- Develop and implement a strategic business plan for the transportation company, including market analysis and competitive positioning.
- Establish operational processes and procedures to ensure efficient service delivery.
- Recruit, train, and manage staff to create a high-performing team dedicated to customer satisfaction.
- Ensure compliance with all local, state, and federal transportation regulations.
- Build relationships with key stakeholders, including suppliers, clients, and regulatory agencies.
- Monitor industry trends and adapt business strategies accordingly to maintain competitiveness.
- Manage financial planning and budgeting to ensure the sustainability of the company.
- Oversee marketing efforts to promote services and attract new clients.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in the transportation industry or related field is preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to motivate and manage a diverse team.
- Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
- Solid understanding of logistics management and supply chain operations.
- Ability to analyze data and make informed decisions based on market trends.
- Knowledge of regulatory requirements in the transportation sector is advantageous.
