Launderer for Private Residence

Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and trustworthy Private Home Launderer to manage all laundry and garment care duties in a private household. The ideal candidate will have experience in caring for high-end clothing, linens, and delicate fabrics, and will take pride in maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and presentation.

Key Responsibilities:

• Sort, wash, dry, iron, and fold or hang clothing, linens, and other fabrics
• Treat stains and care for delicate or specialty garments (e.g., silk, wool, designer items)
• Hand-wash or dry clean items as needed (may involve coordinating with external dry cleaners)
• Monitor inventory of laundry supplies and report any shortages or needs.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of laundry areas and equipment, report any issues or required maintenance
• Organize and rotate clothing, ensuring garments are properly stored or returned to appropriate locations
• Sew buttons or perform light mending when necessary
• Maintain cleanliness and order in laundry areas

Requirements:

• in a similar role, preferably in a private household or luxury setting
• Knowledge of fabric care, stain treatment, and laundry best practices
• Ability to handle and care for delicate, high-end, or designer garments
• Discreet, trustworthy, and respectful of client privacy

• Physical ability to stand, bend, and lift laundry loads as needed
• Compassionate approach towards individuals with autism or other special needs is highly valued.
• Strong attention to detail and organizational skills are essential for maintaining high standards of cleanliness.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Familiarity with eco-friendly or hypoallergenic laundering methods
• Basic sewing or garment repair skills
