Shift: Friday, Saturday, Sunday 8am - 4pm
Job Summary:
The Laundry Attendant is responsible for the daily operations of the hotel laundry facility. This includes washing, drying, folding, sorting, and distributing all hotel linens, and towels. The attendant ensures all laundry is cleaned to hotel standards in a timely and efficient manner.
Key Responsibilities:
- Sort all linens and laundry by category and degree of soiling.
- Operate commercial washers and dryers safely and efficiently.
- Fold and store clean linens neatly in storage areas or carts.
- Inspect all items for stains, tears, or damage and report unusable items.
- Use appropriate chemicals and follow safety procedures for handling detergents and other cleaning agents.
- Maintain cleanliness and organization of the laundry area, including machines, floors, and shelves.
- Report equipment malfunctions or maintenance needs to the supervisor.
- Assist with linen inventory counts as needed.
- Follow all health and safety regulations, including proper PPE use.
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous experience in laundry or housekeeping preferred but not required.
- Ability to stand, bend, lift, and move heavy loads for extended periods.
- Good attention to detail and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Basic understanding of laundry chemicals and safety standards.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 30–50 lbs.
- Stand and walk for long periods.
- Ability to perform repetitive tasks (bending, lifting, folding).
Working Conditions:
- Exposure to heat, humidity, and noise from laundry machines.
- Involves working weekends and holidays depending on the hotel schedule.
Job Type: Part-time
Pay: $13.00 - $14.00 per hour
Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
