Overview:
We are seeking licensed and compassionate behavioral health professionals to provide Other Licensed Practitioner (OLP) services to children and youth in Brooklyn and Bronx. As an OLP, you will deliver clinical, community-based mental health services in home, school, and other natural settings. This role is part of the Children and Family Treatment and Support Services (CFTSS) framework, designed to support emotional wellness, functional improvement, and family stabilization.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive clinical assessments and diagnose behavioral health conditions.
- Develop individualized, trauma-informed, and culturally competent treatment plans.
- Provide individual and family psychotherapy aligned with the child’s goals.
- Deliver crisis support (triage, in-person, and follow-up) to manage acute behavioral health needs.
- Coordinate care with families, schools, and other service providers.
- Facilitate collateral and group sessions when clinically appropriate.
- Ensure timely and accurate documentation per CFTSS and Medicaid standards.
- Collaborate with other CFTSS providers (e.g., CPST, PSR, FPSS) as needed.
- Adhering to compliance expectations of PSCMH’s CFTSS program.
CFTSS-Specific Responsibilities:
- Assist in implementing interventions outlined in the child/youth’s treatment plan.
- Work collaboratively with the treatment team and the family to ensure seamless application of interventions and support throughout the course of the service.
Documentation and Reporting:
- Ensure accurate and timely documentation of all services provided.
- Communicate regularly with the treatment team to ensure coordination of care and monitor progress toward goals.
- Provide services in natural settings, including the child/youth’s home, school, workplace, and other community locations.
Qualifications:
Must hold one of the following New York State licenses:
- Psychologist
- Psychoanalyst
- Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW)
- Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) under supervision
- Marriage and Family Therapist (LMFT)
- Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
- Creative Arts Therapist (LCAT)
Additional Requirements:
- Must practice within the scope of NYS Education Law.
- Must be affiliated with an agency licensed or designated by OMH, OASAS, OCFS, or DOH.
- Mandated Reporter training required.
