POSITION SUMMARY
The Lead Analyst, Ambulatory/Practice Management and Portal Support, will play a key role in implementing MEDITECH Ambulatory products, optimizing clinical workflows, and supporting the patient portal. This individual will collaborate with hospital IT teams, ambulatory care providers, and administrative stakeholders to ensure seamless system integration, effective user adoption, and compliance with healthcare regulations.
Additionally, the Lead Analyst will drive the development of Healthcare Systems of America's corporate Ambulatory IT system by gathering current-state activity and system requirements. They will ensure that all ambulatory needs-including scheduling, patient records, documentation, charting, order management, and system integration-are addressed through a comprehensive and cohesive solution.
This position will also plan a critical role in the development and deployment of Healthcare Systems of America's Patient Portal tool.
** This is a fully remote position with minimal travel required for production deployment events and periodic training sessions or meetings. **
PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Develop and execute strategic plans for HSA's ambulatory products, ensuring alignment with the organization's clinical and operational goals
- Lead the configuration, deployment, and optimization of MEDITECH Ambulatory EHR, ensuring alignment with clinical and administrative workflows.
- Patient Portal Management - Oversee patient portal functionality, support initial development, troubleshoot issues, and support user adoption for secure patient communication, scheduling, and health record access.
- Workflow OptimizationProcess Mapping - Analyze ambulatory practice workflows, identify efficiencies, and implement enhancements to improve provider and patient experiences.
- Data IntegrityCompliance - Ensure adherence to HIPAA, CMS, and Joint Commission standards for ambulatory data security, patient privacy, and regulatory compliance.
- System IntegrationInteroperability - Support the integration of MEDITECH Ambulatory with enterprise systems, revenue cycle management tools, and third-party applications.
- User TrainingSupport - Develop and deliver training programs, SOPs, and documentation to facilitate effective user adoption for clinicians and administrative staff.
- Performance MonitoringTroubleshooting - Identify and resolve technical issues, conduct system audits, and support ongoing optimization efforts.
- Stakeholder Collaboration - Work closely with practice managers, IT teams, and clinical leadership to drive system improvements and workflow enhancements.
EXPERIENCE/EDUCATION REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Healthcare Informatics, Information Technology, Business Administration, or a related field (Preferred)
- Extensive experience with MEDITECH Ambulatory EHR, patient portals, and practice management systems.
- Proven ability to lead implementation projects, conduct training, and drive adoption.
- 5+ years of experience supporting application systems, particularly ambulatory modules
SKILLS/REQUIREMENTS
- Proficiency in Ambulatory tools and integration workflows (Preferably MEDITECH)
- Strong understanding of ambulatory workflows, clinical documentation, and regulatory compliance.
